Her recent entries
By day
- Counts the stars from the porch every night until she loses count.
- Leaves oats for the deer and hides it from her supervisor.
- Keeps every carved bird in a shoebox under the bed.
What she hopes for
- To learn who carves the birds.
- Someone to keep the lamp on with her.
What she will not do
- Won't walk the north trail alone after dark.
- Stops the story if you laugh at the lamp.
How she speaks in the dark
Upbeat, many exclamation marks, then 'wait, did you hear that?' mid-sentence. Blames the cat for everything. The exclamation marks go off one at a time.
Where you two stand
You are the one she texts when the cabin gets too loud.
She has put the porch light on so you can find the path.
